Why 3 images?

We wanted to allow the piece to speak for itself, a story with no words if you like - the beginning, the goal and the final glorious out come - Cardiff City victorious, holding the cup.

Why does the piece only have the numbers 1927 on it?

If you ask the majority of Cardiff folk what happened in 1927 ~ they will all tell you it was the year Cardiff won the FA Cup. This piece was originally aimed at the most avid of City supporters, but our research has shown a need for educating and informing those supporters younger at heart. Thats why we've taken time to compile this web page to accompany the piece thus enhanceing its magic.

What if I would like it in a bigger/smaller size?

We can make it to any size you want. Just drop us an email and let us know what size you are after and we can give you a price.

Do you offer any sponsorship opportunities for the Cardiff 1927 web page?

We really want to keep this site as spam free as possible, but we also appreciate there may be some business's out there keen to be associated with cardiff 1927 ltd.

How can i contribute to this website?

Through our "friends of Cardiff 1927" page, you will find likeminded people sharing stories, anecdotes, pictures, memorabillia etc etc. Its a place for viewers to really feel part of the 1927 story and to help in keeping the memory alive.

Are there any plans to start a forum board?

If our "friends of Cardiff 1927" idea takes off, the plan is to build the website up. We already have the original programme to share with you, we'd like to buy the radio commentary for viewers to download or any other original pieces that would make this website a piece of true history. As with all great ideas funding is vital, thats why if a forum board was to exist for this site then as acollective through supporting friends of Cardiff 1927, it just may become a possibillity.

What is the quality like?

As mentioned above, we've spared no expense in the production of this piece. The final piece looks fantastic ! (In fact the product shot - doesn't do it justice). The thick black frame finishes off the centre images beautifully. The 3 images are surrounded by a continuous black swash which in turn allows the images to stand out and tell its story.

Why are the images coloured and not in a traditional Black&White finish?

There are 2 main fundamental reasons for this:

[1]

[2]

To give it a more contemporary feel, echoing the time and magic of that day.

The colour treatments allow the images to work individually while allowing them to work as a collective. We tested having the final piece all in black & white - the eye reads them easier in our final chosen treatment.

Is there anything else on the market like this?

This is definatley a unique piece. You will not be able to find anything like this. This is one of the main reasons why we decided to offer this piece to the public. We fell in love with the whole story about the 1927 FA Cup final. It really was a truly great achievement for Cardiff. When we were playing around with the images - it was purely for ourselves because we loved the fact that placing all the 3 images together gives an overall reflection of that day. Our eye for quality and our devotionfor this special day ensures that there really isn't anything else like this on the market.
